Services / Enterprise SEO
On a site with hundreds of thousands of URLs, several publishing teams and a fortnightly release cycle, SEO succeeds or fails on process. Enterprise SEO means finding issues at template level, writing them as tickets engineers can ship, and setting rules so one release doesn’t undo months of work.
Template-level analysis, clear tickets and release governance.
See where crawling actually goes.
Agree who can change what.
Test changes before they reach production.
What we can help with
We work alongside internal SEO, product, content and engineering teams, as advisers, as extra hands, or both. The split between advice and implementation is agreed at the start, along with fees and access.
Enterprise SEO in practice
On a large site, fixing one page at a time goes nowhere. We segment the site by template and purpose (product, listing, location, article, support) and look at each group’s crawl, index and traffic data together. Log files show which sections Googlebot visits, how often, and how many requests hit redirects, errors or parameter URLs. Search Console data is split across several properties or pulled through the API, since the interface limits how many rows you can export. The output is a short list of template-level problems ranked by the traffic and revenue they affect.
Sites trading in several countries add another layer, covered in our International SEO service.
Governance
SEO recommendations often stall in a backlog when they’re vague. Each ticket we write states the problem, the affected templates and sample URLs, the expected output, and a test anyone can run to confirm the fix. We size the opportunity so product owners can weigh it against other work. Governance covers who can publish, who can create redirects, how URLs are named and what checks run before a release. Crawling staging before each deployment catches canonical, robots and noindex mistakes before they reach production.
Deep crawl and rendering issues are handled through Technical SEO. When the platform itself needs rebuilding, our enterprise web development service can work from the same requirements.
How we work
01
We agree page groups with your team, crawl them, pull log samples and record a baseline for indexing, traffic and revenue by group.
02
Issues become tickets in your system, whether that’s Jira or something else, with acceptance criteria and an estimate of what each fix is worth.
03
We crawl staging before deployment and production after it, and flag regressions to the owning team in the same week.
Measurement and review
Executives need organic revenue or leads by business unit and market. Engineers need to know which tickets shipped and whether the expected output appeared. We report both: commercial results by page group, plus a technical scorecard covering indexable URL counts, crawl share on priority sections and the status of open SEO tickets.
Other teams change a large site constantly, so reports log major releases, migrations and content campaigns. Results are then read against what actually changed.
Good questions
Asked by heads of digital, SEO leads and product managers.
Usually as extra capacity or a second opinion on large pieces of work: log analysis, a migration plan, a content audit across thousands of pages. Your SEO lead keeps ownership of the strategy and the relationship with engineering. We agree in advance which deliverables are ours and how they plug into your existing tickets and reporting. That avoids two sets of recommendations competing for the same engineering time.
Search Console gives samples and summaries. Server or CDN logs record every request Googlebot makes, so you can see exactly which sections it visits, how often it returns to important pages and how much of its activity goes on redirects, errors or parameter URLs. On sites with very large URL counts, that difference changes which fixes you prioritise. Logs also show whether Googlebot is rendering JavaScript resources you assumed it ignored.
With a full URL inventory, redirects mapped by pattern plus exceptions for high-value pages, staging crawls and a rollback plan agreed before launch. We benchmark traffic and indexing by page group beforehand, monitor logs and Search Console daily after go-live, and keep the old site’s crawl data for comparison. Launching outside peak trading periods also lowers the stakes, and so does migrating in stages where the architecture allows it.
Yes, and that’s where the most durable gains come from. We write SEO acceptance criteria for common templates, add checks to your release checklist or automated tests, and brief product owners on the handful of changes that carry risk, such as URL changes, robots rules and JavaScript rendering. After that, SEO review is only needed for unusual work, and routine releases stop depending on one person spotting a problem.
As a starting point. We take a sample crawl of your main templates, check robots and canonical rules, review Search Console if shared, and identify the template-level issues worth investigating first. A full log analysis or migration plan is a paid engagement scoped with you afterwards, once we know which questions matter most. See what the free marketing audit covers.

A useful starting point
At this scale the audit focuses on templates. One fix to a listing or product template can reach more pages than a year of manual edits.
