Services / Instagram Ads
Instagram ads are visual first. They run in Reels, Stories, the feed and Explore, mostly as vertical video, and they work best when your finished work looks good on a phone: salons, clinics, landscapers, pool builders, tattoo studios and renovators. We build campaigns from that portfolio, then point them at a booking, a DM or a quote form.

What we can help with
On Instagram the content does much of the targeting, so a large share of the work is creative planning and editing.
Instagram Ads in practice
Instagram is where many people check a business before booking: they scan the grid, the highlights and recent Reels to judge the work. Ads push that portfolio to new people. Reels and Stories fill the screen at 9:16, and plenty of viewers watch with the sound off, so captions and a strong first frame matter. Before-and-after reveals, a 20-second process clip and a slow pan across a finished job all suit the format. Static images still work in the feed but usually play a supporting role. Cosmetic and health practitioners should note that AHPRA’s advertising rules restrict testimonials and some before-and-after imagery, so those ads need a compliance check.
Paid reach works better when the profile behind it is active, which is why we plan it with organic social media. Clinics can read our cosmetic clinic marketing page for the compliance side.
Planning and implementation
The destination changes the result. Click-to-message ads open a DM, which suits salons, tattoo studios and anyone who quotes from a photo. A booking link to Fresha, Timely or your own calendar suits appointment businesses. Larger jobs such as landscaping or pools usually need a quote form with photo upload. Instagram runs in the same Meta Ads Manager as Facebook, but its audience skews younger and its ads need their own creative: a Facebook image with a block of text rarely holds anyone in Reels. We test two or three concepts at a time and keep the winner running until frequency wears it out.
Concept development sits in creative strategy, and lead-form campaigns often run beside Facebook ads in the same account.
How we work
01
We go through your camera roll and past posts to find the jobs, transformations and clips worth turning into ads, and list what still needs shooting.
02
Each concept gets a vertical cut with captions for Reels and Stories, plus a 4:5 version for the feed, with the hook in the opening second.
03
Concepts run head to head. Whatever brings bookings or DMs stays live, and creative is swapped before the audience tires of it.
Measurement and review
Likes, saves and video plays are signals, not results. We track conversations started, booking-link clicks, and confirmed appointments or quote requests from each concept, then tie them to revenue where your booking system or CRM allows.
Some value shows up indirectly, such as a profile visit that leads to a follow and a booking weeks later. We report that as assisted rather than claiming it outright.
Good questions
Mostly from salons, clinics and visual trades.
It depends on what you sell and who buys it. If customers choose you by looking at your work and they skew younger, Instagram often carries more weight. If you sell to older homeowners or rely on lead forms, Facebook usually does better. Many businesses run both from one Meta account, with separate creative for each, and let results decide the budget split over time.
Boosting gives a quick lift to a post that's already doing well, but offers limited control over objective, placement and audience, and no proper testing. Ads Manager lets you choose the outcome you pay for, separate Reels from Stories, exclude existing followers and compare concepts against each other. Boosts can sit alongside campaigns but shouldn't replace them.
Most businesses have more than they think on staff phones. We review it, pick what's usable and give you a short shot list for the gaps, such as a before photo taken from the same angle as the after, or a 15-second walk-through of a finished space. A half-day shoot planned around specific formats can supply months of ads.
You set the spend, and costs move with audience size, competition and the time of year, with the lead-up to Christmas usually the most competitive. Creative production is a separate line. Our budget guide covers how a starting budget is split between testing concepts and scaling the one that works.
Your Instagram profile and recent content, any ad account history, the path from ad to booking or enquiry, and whether tracking captures those bookings. You get a short plan naming the creative to test first. Check what the free marketing audit includes.
