There are many different ways that you can go about creating the best website for your small business. It is worth, however, considering implementing three specific elements that can help take your website to the next level in terms of user-friendliness and effectiveness.

1. Become Mobile-Friendly

Although it seems inconceivable now, there was once a time when the only way to access and view anything online was by using a desktop computer. The dawning of the era of the smartphone has long since done away with such limitations. Users have become more inclined to search the web on their phones, simply because they are generally never without them. Furthermore, phones can be used on the go, allowing consumers to interact with your business wherever they are.

As such, it is vital that your company’s website has a functional mobile-friendly website design element to it. If the desktop version of your website doesn’t read well on a mobile device, a potential customer who tries to view it will more likely than not simply move on to the next available site. Make sure that your website is mobile-friendly to avoid missing out on potential custom going forward.

2. Use Creative Content

When a user views your website, what will they see? Is the bulk of your website simply written content laid out in a simple and underwhelming design? If so, you need to work on the design elements of your site to implement more creative content.

Not only should you have plenty of creative and SEO-friendly written content, but it also needs to be balanced with the right number of images. You might also consider having a marketing video made for your business so that you can post it on your site. It is far better to show potential customers what your business can do rather than merely telling them. This gives you better control over the message that you are trying to convey and makes that information easier for a user to process.

3. Have a Strong Headline

One of the top characteristics of a strong website is a strong headline. This will be the first thing that your potential customers see when they view your homepage, so it needs to be written and displayed in such a way that makes the best impression possible.

Keep it short and simple. It also needs to be creative and unique. Finding that right balance can be a difficult task, but it is an important step to take in order to ensure that your website is as compelling as it can be.
